The ambiance is fantastic with the nice warm wood from the old bank the brewery now inhabits. Its truly a treat to stop in and taste one of Peters fine crafted bears. I highly recommend stopping in for a pint or 3 whenever your in Northwood.

To start, this place is housed in an old Bank on the main street in the city. Reminiscent of the Ladora Bank Bistro minus the food, they are doing some great things here.

Great place to stop. I wish we had more time to enjoy the brewery. If you are driving down 35 make the time to swing over to Worth Brewing Company.

What a great find up in the city of Northwood! After living in Iowa for 5 years, I am consistently and pleasantly surprised by the gems that exist is small towns!

This little pub is a shining star in Northwood. Its beers are the best in the area hands down.

The seating is limited-ish with a number of tables both in front and in back. The folks taking orders are in the old teller window and the beers of the day are listed on chalk boards up on the wall. They boast a quality number of legit beers here - including some high gravity options.

Good Beer, fun place, reminds me of Summit beer, Tours on Sat. Beers taste like they are macro and not micro, excellent.

The beers run about $4-6 per pint and they'll do flights for $1 a beer - pure bliss! I sampled the darks (Oatmeal stout, Brunhilde and a Brown ale) also with the a visiting beer and the Sunderland Survival. A shout out, I normally don't like lighter beers, but the survival is one I'm going to be telling friends about. It's an English Ale and apparently the folks in Northwood know how to do it like the English, minus the poor dentition.

I'll be back and recommend you stop in if you A) Like beers, B) Like capitalism, C) Like small business or D) If you're anywhere near Northwood!

No food is served here, but don't dismay - they invite the restaurants in the area to bring food over. This concept makes me so happy, they get a bump to five stars! Two Mexican places are nearby and a server from one (Tequila's) came over every 15 minutes or so to take orders. They even brought us a load of chips and salsa - small town hospitality and business like a boss all packaged up in an old bank!

Beers are worth checking out!

World class beer.
